Hi all,
I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and I hope that you had a lovely Christmas!
Please see below a letter from myself and Miss Davies which will inform you all of our plans for your Remote Learning that will commence on Thursday 7th January 2021.
Pupils will be invited to take part in Live Sessions this week. They will receive an email through their Hwb, inviting them to the meeting. They will need to click the 'Join' option at the correct time in order to attend.
Could I please ask that you read the following letter carefully as it does explain about permission that needs to be given.
I look forward to seeing you online!

Hi everyone!
I hope that you are all keeping well and staying safe! I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you all on a very successful term at school.
This term has seen many challenges, but as a class, we have all pulled together and dealt with each one in a positive way together!
You have all worked extremely well in all of the new Areas of Learning and Experience, completing some excellent work in your Missions and Training Missions. Our 'Land of the Pharaohs' topic was a huge success and the work completed by you truly reflected how much you all enjoyed it! Educational Visits were replaced by Virtual Lessons with the Egyptology Centre at Swansea University and your behaviour and demonstration of maturity during these sessions made me burst with pride! Well done!!
I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to welcoming you all back in January!
Nadolig Llawen pawb!

P.S - Please find below your 'Remote Learning' Mission sheet for this week and the resources that you will need for some of the tasks!!

Good afternoon all!
We have just received some exciting news from Dwr Y Felin Comprehensive School. Mrs Peet and the staff have finished creating some Transition videos for current Year 6 pupils.
You are invited to visit Dwr Y Felin's website to access these!

Many thanks for your attention and also many thanks to Dwr Y Felin for providing our Year 6 pupils with this resource.

Please see below a copy of this term's Homework Menu. Children have been given a paper copy and all resources needed are listed below. Please read information carefully as all work will need to be submitted by email and not brought into school. Children have been shown how to 'Share' documents created on Hwb.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
I would firstly like to thank you for your continued support during these very strange times and I would also like to reassure you that your children have settled back into every day school life with ease!
Your children are taking everything in their stride and seem to be enjoying their time back at school so far.
I have a few polite reminders for you :
Thursday 8th October 2020
School photographs - all day
Dwr y Felin Parents meeting via Teams at 3:30pm
Could I also please request that pupils have all of the necessary equipment in their pencil cases on a daily basis (pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, glue stick and colouring pencils). This would be much appreciated as resources cannot be shared due to Covid restrictions.
As you are aware, I have been setting your children homework via the Teams and Microsoft Forms apps. I appreciate that we have had a few small teething problems but are now very much up and running.
Homework will continue to be set in this way so please encourage your child to check Teams and their Hwb emails for the links.
Thank you once again for your support in these matters.
Kind regards
Mrs L Martin
