Our big statement is ’Into the Woods …’
We will be focusing primarily on the Languages, Literacy and Communication Area of Learning and that literature fires imagination and inspires creativity. We aim to develop a love of stories and reading with the children. This involves learning, retelling and acting out familiar and traditional tales. We will explore that many traditional tales are set in woodlands and forests, that they are stories that have been told to children for hundreds of years and are set in the past e.g. ‘Little Red Riding Hood’.
